What's new in protel SPE/MPE

Modern document management for invoices, reservation confirmations, forms, commission statements and e-mail templates. Edit templates in Word, reuse headers and footers, and create PDFs directly. Part of the Standard package, activation required.

Send e-mails from Protel through Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or other mail servers with modern, secure sign-in. Your existing SMTP setup keeps working, so you can switch when you are ready.

A new dialog under System Data, Manager, Hotel Profile. Your hotel details are entered once and used as the issuer data in the Document Module.

When you send an invoice by e-mail, you can store the address on the guest profile in the same step. It overwrites the existing address, so it is controlled by a user right and can be switched on by default by support.

Activation and your first document, step by step.

Document handlers, storage patterns (file names and folders), reusable headers and footers, and the three kinds of replacement codes: single values, tables and generic page codes.

Changes from IDS and PWS channels on rooms that are already allocated are handled sensibly. If the new dates make the room unavailable, the allocation is removed. If only the room type changes, a new room is allocated.

Search for an attached profile by part of its name in Arrivals, In-house, Departures and Reservations. Special characters such as Č, Š, Á and Ř now sort correctly in active lists.

Room requests on a group master are passed on to the group members. Meal Plan reports can be limited to one group.

A redirected posting now appears in the Reservation History of both reservations, so it is easy to see where a charge went.

The list shows only the rooms that are visible on your Room Plan.

Past traces can be edited in the history, and automatic traces carry over to follow-up reservations. Proforma invoices open directly from the Invoice History.

Optionally lock room types against renaming once they are assigned. Ask support to switch it on.

Course schedules can sit outside the event times, and the Room Type Plan under Banquet Plan is displayed in full.

An advance payment for a guest who is already checked in is no longer posted as a deposit.

Sending from Invoice History works reliably, and mail servers without a login are supported.

Collects deposits automatically, so the front desk does not have to chase them.

Handles no-shows automatically according to your rules. See configuration and managing no-shows.

From March 2026 versions are numbered 8.26.xxx, with the year included, so it is clear at a glance how current your system is.

Compatible with Windows Server 2022, and an e-mail crash on Server 2019 is fixed.

A new localization system, and Unicode characters are supported in user-defined fields.

User rights no longer change during an update. Letters accept files by drag and drop.
